Blagojevich convicted on seventeen counts in corruption retrial

The jury in the retrial of the impeached Illinois governor could not reach a verdict on two of the 20 counts against him and acquitted him on one. He faces long prison sentences on the remaining counts, which include trying to take personal advantage of naming Barack Obama's replacement in the Senate. Blagojevich showed no reaction as the verdicts were read in a Chicago federal courtroom and said afterward he is "stunned" and "disappointed." http://www.prmindustry.com/
